π¨ Priority Actions for OMS-III
Build your target list with DO-friendly programs in overlapping cities
Submit VSLO/direct applications for Sub-Is at target programs
Try to rotate in the same city at the same time when possible
Identify faculty at home + away rotations for strong LORs
π₯ Audition Rotation Planner
Plan and track your Sub-I/away rotations - the key to getting interviews
Why Auditions Matter
For Ortho: Audition rotations are essentially required. A strong Sub-I at a program dramatically increases your interview and match chances. Plan 3-5 aways.
For OBGYN: Away rotations help but aren't as critical. 2-3 strategic aways at target programs/regions work well.
For Couples: Try to audition in the SAME CITY when possible - this shows programs you're serious about their location!

π Couples Rank List Builder
Create your paired rank list for the NRMP
How Couples Matching Works
You submit pairs of programs to NRMP. Each pair consists of one program for you (Ortho) and one for your girlfriend (OBGYN). The algorithm tries to match you to the highest-ranked pair where both programs want to rank you.
No rank pairs created yet
Add programs to both Ortho and OBGYN tabs first, then create pairs here

π Letter Strategy for Couples Match
Ortho Requirements: Typically need 4-5 letters including a Chair/PD letter from home institution + letters from away rotations. Strong letters from aways are CRUCIAL.
OBGYN Requirements: Usually 3-4 letters. Chair letter helpful but not always required. Mix of generalists and specialists.
